Trapping '..' expansion

I need to trap all '..' expansion. Is it enough to just trap INT 21,
60h -- resolve path -- or do I have to trap them *all* (cd, rd, open,
etc.). In other words, does every function that expands paths call on
INT 21, 60h, or does each interrupt do it on its own?
