I have an unsigned number representing the mantissa of the number I am creating. The problem is what is a better way of making the fraction part of a floating point number. The way I am currently doing this is looping through the bits in the number and dividing the result if the bit is set. My intuition tells me (and intuitions have been known to lie) there has got to be a better way than this... tnx kl
