WORM driver?

Has anyone written a device driver to support a WORM drive under ASPI?
Specifically I'm using an Adaptec 1542B card. I'm getting ready to write
one, but of course I don't want to spend the time if it's already been
done.
Is there a standard layout for data on a WORM disk under dos? I don't
really mind writing my own driver but I would like to be compatible.

Any info will be appreciated.

Roger
