Can someone explain to me how to access memory beyond the 640k barrier imposed by DOS. Some documentation that recently crossed my eyes led me to believe that this s was in fact possible, but my microsoft C compiler seems to stop short of the 720k I require. I am running on a 486 based machine with 8 megs and DOS 5, and am primarily interested in allocating memory for rapid storage of image data. As a newcomer to the PC programming world, any help would be much appreciated. Rolf Behrsing behrsing@cory.berkeley.edu
