I have done some programming in BASIC. I had a class on it in college and do some small programs like developing a check book balance program in BASIC. I am getting Borland's C++ free with my new Gateway 2000 66VL-Bus computer. What I would like to know is how I should go about learning C. I got a book from Que on learning the C language. I plan to read this book and any other beginner books I can find. Is this a good way to learn C? Some of the concepts in C are a little confusing and it appears it will take me quit a while to learn C. How difficult is it to know enough about C to develop a program like a card game for instance. Am I way over my head trying to learn C, or should I master BASIC first. I heard they will come out with a program called Visual C(a take-off of Visual Basic). Would a program like this help me to program in C, or do I need to learn everything about C first. I have lots of free time to learn C, I'm just wondering if I'm over my head. Any comments would be appreciated. -- Via DLG Pro v0.995
