In article <40vou3$fl4@news.mclink.it>, MC9997@mclink.it (Alessandro Bucci) says: > >Can anyone tell me how can I access BIOS32 routines to program PCI >devices ? >I need C and/or ASM sources or at least some documentation about the >PCI bus and PCI BIOS. > >Thanks, >Alessandro > > A good source of info on this topic is PCI Hardware and Software written by Edward Solari and George Willse. (published by Annabooks) It's kind of heavy reading but once you get the basic idea of PCI, it's a pretty good reference. I've been told to order a copy of the PCI Specifications from the PCI Special Interest Group (SIG). They wrote the spec for the PCI bus and PCI BIOS. You can reach them here : PCI SIG PO Box 14070 Portland, Oregon 97214 Tel (US) : 800 433-5177 Tel (International) : 503 797-4207 Fax (All) : 503 234-6762 Try subscribing to the following newsgroup by sending mail with the subject title saying : subscribe Send it to : pci-all-request@znyx.com You can find alot of info there but they are kind of snobby about replying to "simple" questions. Good luck, I'm on the same path. -A
