Friend is upgrading his old Epson 386 running MSDOS to a new Osborne
Pentium machine running PCDOS 6.3.  He is a bit worried about transferring
everything from the old to the new.  How easily can it be done?

He has a backup set created with MSDOS 3.3 backup.  Is it possible to
read this format with some sort of "restore" under PCDOS 6.3?  (I guess
he will get some sort of manual with the new gear, but he is anticipating
problems :)

I suggested he simply boot from a 3.3 floppy and use that RESTORE -- but
this assumes the FAT etc. *is* the same under PCDOS 6.3  Is it?

No doubt there are other options, such as using a serial port transfer,
but that might take a while.

Suggestions and cautions welcome.
