Can any 3.2 and : 4.0/1 users try to recreate the bug? : -- : _____________________________________________________________________________ : Tooraj Enayati Melbourne Australia tooraj@daneel.rdt.monash.edu.au Just tried it on an original IBM PC running PC DOS 3.3 and it does NOT happen. You stay in the same directory. The problem probably occurs because DOS uses FCB's to write the label on the A: drive. Therefore it must change the default to A:\, write the label and then change the default back to the original drive:directory. There is probably a bug in the way the original directory information is stored. It does bear some investigation. Anyone willing to spend a few hours with DEBUG?
