32 bit C++ compilers

Well, I got kicked out of comp.lang.c++ so I'll ask here.

Has anybody out there used a non-gnu 32bit DOS compiler and
had success? I have code that currently won't compile under
BC++3.1 because it has expressions > 64K (yes, I called tech
support and they said "you just maxed it out"). I also would
like to avoid Phar-Lapp's extender since they charge a fortune
for the ability to link in the necessary stuff to distribute
programs. Please e-mail me your experiences (no gnu plugs please)
and if I get any responses I will summarize the results to this
newsgroup.

Thanks - John Ham
