How to simulate Ctrl-Alt-[+|-]

This motherboard I have can switch speeds from the keyboard, using
ctrl-alt-minus for slow, ctrl-alt-plus for fast and ctrl-alt-esc to use
the turbo switch selection. I never really played with the option
before, but now I need to change speeds inside a batch file. 4dos
keystack won't do the key combinations, and I would imagine DOS never
sees them anyway... surely the BIOS eats the key sequence.

Can I get my keyboard to act on its own? This is an XT (with a 286, but
only an 8-bit bus). Can the keyboard be manipulated from the computer?
It's an XT/AT switchable keyboard, if that makes a difference.

Thanks in advance for any pointers in the right direction.
