tandtcom@oslonett.no (Andreas Eide) in <42fscp$clr@hasle.oslonett.no> asks: >I have some code written in C++ that compiles with Borland C++ 4.5. >This code includes the header <dos.h>, contains interrupt routines and >calls the function setvect. >gcc also has a <dos.h> header, but does not seem to include the >setvect function and the interrupt keyword(?). How can this code be >ported to compile with gcc? 1. gcc questions are implentation-specific. You might get a reasonable answer by asking this question in one of the gnu.* or comp.os.msdos.djgpp programming newsgroups, but get their FAQ and read it first. 2. If you retrieve the FAQ from rtfm.mit.edu, you will have a better idea of the kinds of questions appropriate here. 3. gcc/djgpp is a protected-mode compiler. Attempts to do real-mode interrupts are hairy. You can check the FAQ (faq102.zip) available where you got gcc, and "info libc" under go32 functions or dpmi functions. -- * Martin Ambuhl net: mambuhl@ripco.com * Chicago, IL (USA)
