Yes, we did pretty much the same thing for our educational labs (approx 
1200 machines)  Took us about 2 months, with 3 people (also migrating to 
NW4 at the same time).

Once you've got the cabling etc sorted out and the bootroms working, it's 
all pretty straight forward.  Everything is a network install.  Ours 
copies down a clean copy of windows when the users log in (but this is 
educational - students only, so they don't keep their environment.)  This 
allows for very few errors.

If you have nonstandard hardware, I've got a few things you might be 
interested in eg. changes SYSTEM.ini each login to specific machine, 
printers set at bootup, etc.
