VLMUP3.EXE bug report

As usual I followed the lead, and installed the new VLMs, etc.
However, When logging on to my server I got an error message! I
tracked it down to a line in the system login script that says: MAP
H:=SYS: I got the following error:
----------------
The following drive mapping operation could not be completed.
	H:=SYS:
error code was 89FF
----------------

I then had other problems, when I ran pcheck.exe, to keep a check on
my mail box, I got the following error:
----------------
You are not attached to EPID
command line ignore
----------------
(EPID is the name of the server)

I also had trouble with ArcServe, I got the message:
----------------
Btrieve error:20 accessing file:
EPID/SYS:\ARCSERVE\DATABASE\ASTPSES.DB
Attempting to open file
Record Manager inactive
----------------

After trying many combinations of old and new VLMs, I found that the
problem was due to NETX.VLM. When I replaced the new version with the
old one, everything worked fine! So my conclusion is that there is a
bug within NETX.VLM. Has anyone else found this problem?

Allen
