FWIW, I used to have a Creative Labs 6x IDE drive
working under my 3.12 server. I have since torn it
down and installed NT. Just letting you know that
someone did get it to work....and the CL 6X drive
was not even on the ol' compatbility list.
What I do remember is that I had the drive set up
as master on the secondary IDE channel. I looked at
your load lines....have you tried loading the cdrom
*.CDM **before** loading the CDROM.NLM.
Should be similar to:
load c:\nw312\npapatch
load nwpa /naload (don't remember what this
parameter is for)
load after311
load ideata.ham
load idehd.cdm
**************
load idecd.cdm
**************
mount sys
load cdrom
