Help with IDE to SCSI Server

Aloha all,
I will be installing a SCSI adapter and drive on a server
soon, they wish to transfer everything from an IDE drive
which is running out of space to a SCSI drive and use the
SCSI as the primary drive. This is a 3.12 system. How can
I get the NOS, programs and files to the new drive? Can I
create a similiar sized partition on the SCSI drive and
mirror the two drives even though they are dissimilar types
and simply take the old drive offline? Can I do an simple
copy? Any and all advice appreciated. Please email
responses.

regards,
