"Insulated" subsidiary network using Netware 4.1

We are in the process of migrating from Netware 3.11 to 4.1, and have
come across a problem we're not quite sure how to solve.

We have a portion of our network isolated, for security purposes, behind
a single-license server running Multi-Protocol Router. No SAPs are
allowed out to the "main" network, and the effect is that the server
concerned is not visible to users outside the department concerned. At
the same time, limited facilities are provided for users on the isolated
network to see certain resources on the main network.

We're not clear on how successfully this approach can be migrated into a
Netware 4.1 environment. Has anyone else had any experience of doing
this? Are there potential problems with the directory tree? I imagine
that there might be less problems if we were prepared to have a
completely separate tree for the isolated network, but this would be
administratively inconvenient.
