  Applying TCPIP 4 fix had no effect.  Installing the Warp Connect 
networking stuff only (and effectively turning Warp 3 into Warp 
Connect brought Netscape 4.04 to life.

  The network stuff came straight off the original CD-ROM - no 
fixpack relating to the network stuff was applied (of course the
main part of Warp is at FP39).

  So my inference above is empirically confirmed.
