I would just like to mention that I have no such problems with ZOC
even with the LEDs on.  I have heard that the LEDs can cause some of
the CPU monitoring programs to show a high rate because the priority
of screen updates is higher than other things.  But this would/should
not result in errors while downloading.

I have an 8MB system and can do many things while downloading at 14.4
and maintaining 1500+ cps on Zip files, higher on other files (up to
something like 3000+ on plain text).
