Hi Stu,

I have an HP 855C that apparantly does it's own print management on
Warp4. Too many print mgrs and spoolers spoil the printing! HP and IBM
fight over control of the printer. I keep the OS/2 spooler off and the
WinOS2 print manager off also. I have to endure a warning message
everytime I load WinOS2 that "the print manager is off, OK?". Sure, I
turned it off! Actually, I'm the Print Manager. I don't queue any
print jobs.

Now everything prints immediately, including Print Screen, and nothing
is held in any buffer except in the printer.

Computers are not easy to use when they give you too much help. The
spooler should be off by default so that you have to turn it on by
intention.

I had the same problem and solution with Warp3 and my old DeskJet so it
has nothing to do with your driver version.

IBM has a printer fetish and a numlock phobia. Can anyone tell me how
to keep numlock on? I wrote a batch file to turn numlock on in
autoexec.bat. Then Netscape Navigator turns it off again!

Neal
