] I apologize to Mr. Summerfield and the other users here for my obvious overreaction to Mr. Summerfield's
]post. I do still feel that Mr. Moskowitz being the main contributor and being local
]here is more apt to have the most accurate information. My rudeness was uncalled
]for in any case.

May I quote from another posting:

Super bummer, I pre-ordered the book with J3. I just got an e-mail
telling me that the publisher has decided that they will not be
publishing it.

I've had some electronic letters from others who've confirmed my post
or had similar info to the above.

How good it feels to be vidicated. If you can learn to look before
leaping, then go in peace. And please do us the courtesy of revealing
your name: I'm not ashamed of mine.

Now to set the record a little straighter.
In a posting yesterday, I expressed the opinion that Cari had lied to me.
However well-justified that opinion seemed, it now seems I was
    informed correctly.

My sympathies to David M who, it seems, hasn't been as well-treated a I'd
    wish to be.

There was some speculation about edition numbers; Cari's letter mentioned
the second edition. I think the explanation is rather simple: though
my Warp Unleashed says E3, it's the FIRST for WARP. E1 & E2 were for
    OS/2.

Someone also expressed the home David M might find an alternative
publisher. As SAMS claims copyright, I don't think this would be so
simple. A new edition will inevitably cut into whatever market for E3
that remains so SAMS would doubtless require as much compensation as
    they could obtain.

Whether David could rewrite his material in a timely fashion and in a
manner such as would avoid risk of lawsuit I doubt.

Cheers
