I am getting similar errors using BackMaster v. 2.01 with an Iomega
Ditto 3200 parallel port tape drive. The "write" during backup appears
to work fine; however, during the "read" (that is, verify or compare)
stage, the program reports some files have failed the verify process.
The program indicates as a possible reason bad sectors on the tape.

In fact, though, the problem is probably not with the tape for these
reasons: first, the "bad sectors" are reported at different points on
the same tape, varying with each backup; secondly, the problem occurs
with different tapes (and the tapes being used are those prescribed by
Iomega); and thirdly, those same tapes with "bad sectors" are easily
read by backup programs other than BackMaster.

By way of background, I have configured the Parallel Port settings of
the BackMaster menu at 2 MB, with 0's in the delay boxes. The parallel
port device driver in the CONFIG.SYS has a /J1 added. Time critical
has been enabled for the Iomega drive.

Any help would be appreciated.
