Hi I have v4 with FP14, and need to run 2 apps on
Windoze. They will both run on 2000, so I thought I'd
try that, as it is supposed to be reasonably stable.
I can't get it to talk to OS/2 - I presume it is possible,
and that I have sinply missed something?
I'll do some more searching, but would appreciate
some pointers, opinions, and advice at this stage.
Cheers, DeutschMick

Mail? - replace z's with au, the currency symbol with deu.
OS/2? - STILL faster, better, more stable.
Why use DOS or a disguised OS/2 hack?

I run two networks with Windows 95 or 98 and network operation has been going for such a long time that they are taken for granted. I wouldn't have thought that M$ has changed networking (unlike with doc file formats) such that it can't talk to OS/2. Victor Bien VCB Computing Alternatives (R) http://sydney.dialix.com.au/~vcbien/

One thing that was told to me was that I had to be logged onto OS/2 with a username and password which matched those on the Win2K machine. I have no idea why that should be necessary, but it DOES work that way!

With Win9x you don't have to have UID & Password coordination provided at the Windows end you specify no password to access. That seems OK to do in a home environment or a small office where you know and trust the other folk! Victor Bien VCB Computing Alternatives (R) http://sydney.dialix.com.au/~vcbien/
