J3 Computer Technologies (http://www.os2store.com) Offers Special
Price On NeoN Grafix 3D Lite at the very reduced price of $49.

NeoN Grafix 3D is a 3-D wire frame modeler and renderer for
designing realistic looking 3-D objects with depth and shadows.
It is used in the advertising, animation, film and video special
effects, engineering and architectural fields, and is just plain
fun for home users.

The program allows you to build wire frame models of objects
(the same way you'd build something using Tinker Toys), or
alternately import such models from a library. Then you place
the objects into a scene wherever you want them, turn them any
way you wish, add your light sources (the sun, light bulbs,
explosions or whatever) and NeoN's renderer does the rest.
Each ray of light is traced through the scene to give you as real a
look as if you'd been there and taken a photo.

Super 8 Sound in Burbank, Calif. confirmed the ease of creating
special effects. "Our business is Super 8 film sales, processing and
video transfers, and we're in the heart of the studio production area.
The pros walk in with their exposed film and we give them back a video
transfer. They then add special effects and do their editing."

Alan Portero in Hollywood, Calif. agreed. "I just frame-grab from the video
transfer on my home machine. Once it's digital I can do anything." Portero
directs music videos.

"This is a product I can really use," said Kitty Brook, an architect. "With a
3-D picture, the client can see what the finished building will look like.
I've used artists in the past, but they're expensive and you only get one
view for your money. With this I can get as many views as the client wants."

The completed 3-D images may be used in graphics programs and graphics
program images in turn may be mapped onto NeoN Grafix 3D objects for
texturing or embedded scenes. "You could render a realistic-looking tv, paste
a slanted image from your graphics program onto its screen, then take that
and put it on top of a photograph," said Portero. "It's faster and cheaper than
a live shoot, and you have total control. No weather problems, no film permits,
no talent tantrums."

"I can bust out a stock building, throw icing on the facade and give the potential
client three views in a day," said Brook. "The competition is gonna die."

What is the difference between the REGULAR version that you are talking about and the
LITE version that actually has the special pricing?

Also, is student pricing available on either the lite or the regular?
