Don't you need to copy the .ADD to the c:\os2 directory after the install?
I only have a floppy version of OS/2 and I found the easiest way to install
the SCSI driver was to copy it myself and edit the CONFIG.SYS myself. After
that I use the selective install to add CD-ROM support and let it copy the
necessary CD-ROM drivers.

Credit where credit it due, the chip is an _NCR_ 53c80, not a Trantor chip.
Trantor just write the drivers for it. Trantor have a range of 53c80 SCSI
cards and they license out their technology to other 53c80 SCSI card makers.
I think the chip used by the new MV cards is an NCR 53c400, or a member of
the 400 series. These 2 chips are different enough to need a different
driver (although similar enough for one driver to handle both if it knows
about both chips).
