Oh no.  Not this again <g>!

Go to File -> User Setup -> Preferences.

When you see "Other general usage options",
scroll to the very bottom and check "Background
Printing".  This disables it.  It should have been
disabled by default.   In fact, if Lotus had updated 
this part of the old Windoze code, it would never
have been there from the get-go.  Shame on Lotus.
