I posted 4 weeks ago about installing WordPro beta (which required intall of
FP20 or 21), amongst a few other programs. After this my desktop was totally
screwed up with icons not executing (just throwing up a "setting" option).

It seemed so bad that I decided:
(i) to totally reformat c: drive and reinstall OS/2 Warp Connect from CD.
(ii) (since my previous level of FPack had been 17 and it was no longer available
from the IBM Sydney BBS, I took on FP22) and Installed FP22.

After which my desktop objects linked to WinOS/2 don't work. I was also told
that IBM does not support Fixpacks.

Does this mean I have to re-install, or back out a Fixpack to vanilla (since 17
isn't available) or just go Win'95?? What the hell, if I have to re-install, why
not try Win'95 ???

Does anyone have any suggestions for rescuing Warp? Can they guarantee Merlin
will not be the same?
