Hello,

I have given up on Netscape for OS/2
Yesterday I downloaded Netscape 4.61 beta, Java 1.1.8, and Fixpack11.
After installing all this, I still have the same old problems:
(i) some of the text in not displayed,
(ii) scrolling sometimes does not work, and
(iii) I cannot do my internet banking (I suspect this is a java
problem).
None of these problem occur when I run netscape under Linux.

Can anyone please suggest alternative Web browsers for OS/2?

Thanks in advance

There's still the Netscape 4.04 GA for OS/2.
I have had no problems with i) ii) or iii) at all. Haven't had a problem
with Java, which is used heavily on the on-line trading account I use.

(Geez, I wonder how I banked before they got Internet banking!)

Have you tried Netscape 2.02? I think it will work with the latest Java,
but not JavaScript.

You might do better to ask at news:comp.os.os2.apps

I am certain the online banking problem is with java 1.1.8 I had no
problems with 1.1.7 (and all the updates) using both NS4.04 and NS4.61.
Now Netscape crashes when I try to access online banking using either
4.04 or 4.61 with java 1.1.8.
