FP26 - no more Window List

Hello,

I just applied FixPack 26 to an old Aptiva 486 running Warp 3 base
level, and now the Window list button on the Launch Pad doesn't
work anymore (no response from ctrl-esc either.)

The service log indicates problems running c:\os2\system\inst_dos.exe
at the IBMDAPIN stage of the service - IBMDAPIN ended with errors,
return code 0x1604. I got a SYS1719 when rebooting, saying
c:\vw32s.sys in a DEVICE statement in config.sys did not contain
a valid device driver, and the line was REM'ed out. I rebooted,
put that back in the config.sys and rebooted OK without errors
but ctrl-esc still doesn't work.

Has anyone else seen this problem? Is there a fix for it?

Andrew

I dont know what this is, doesnt sound good though.

Yep, I always see this when going from plain warp to any fixpack >=26.
You wont see it again. Something to do with (I think) the upgrade in
win32s to V1.25

I've never had it remmed out on me. Just the error as above.

Yeah, the tasklist thingo above. Previously, if you got rid of this
in the autostart line Warp would ignore it and give you a tasklist
anyway. As of FP26 this started working correctly for the first time.
So if its missing, no tasklist for you.

Does java 116 really work with NS/2 2.02 ...?

Hello,

how can I get Java 116 running with NS 2.02??

I currently have:

Warp 3, FixPak 35
Netscape 2.02 June 98

both run fine...

Java 116, runtime only, without Unicode
(I do not need more, do I?)

Installing went without problems (yes, Feature Installer worked !...)

Java's applet.exe and so on are able to deal with java-containing-HTML

Netscape disappears with SYS3170 (DosRaiseException...??) when calling
such HTML-Pages.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you!

Arno

Please help!! (again)
NSJAVA.EXE doesn't change anything!
What might be the problem?
I already reinstalled the whole thing with no effect!

Thank you
