Ihave been unable to get the Dial Other ISP dialer to work. In verbose mode it seems that the only NAK I get back is the MagicNumber request. So I installed In-Joy from the Nov96 Hobbes Archived CD and still couldn't get in. InJoy gives me an Invalid Protocol line repeatedlyThe following lines are from the InJoy trace log. > 16:48:26:10: Initialising PPP packet mode > 16:48:26:16: Initialising PPP... > 16:48:26:22: PPP: Enabling VJ compression > 16:48:26:29: TX: CONFIG-REQ (periodic), id = 50 > 16:48:26:41: SENDING OUTGOING PPP PACKET (SIZE = 36) > 16:48:26:50: LINE_MON: TRANSMIT DATA > 16:48:27:10: Priority - class 4, delta = 16 > 16:48:27:32: LINE_MON: RECEIVE DATA > 16:48:27:38: RX: LCP PACKET - id = 50 > 16:48:27:44: RX: CONFIG_REQ > 16:48:27:50: OPTION -> LCPOPTION_ACCM -> ACCM = 0 > 16:48:27:57: OPTION -> LCPOPTION_ADDRESSCOMP > 16:48:27:63: OPTION -> LCPOPTION_PROTCOMP > 16:48:27:69: TX: LCP PACKET, id = 50, code = 2 > 16:48:27:75: SENDING OUTGOING PPP PACKET (SIZE = 35) > 16:48:27:85: LINE_MON: TRANSMIT DATA > 16:48:27:91: PPP: Invalid protocol 0x820 > 16:48:28:00: LINE_MON: RECEIVE DATA > 16:48:28:07: LINE_MON: RECEIVE DATA > 16:48:28:13: PPP: Invalid fcs > 16:48:28:22: PPP: Invalid protocol 0x820 > 16:48:28:29: TX: CONFIG-REQ (periodic), id = 51 Don't know if this means anything. It doesn't say MagicNumber like the Dialer. Anyway I know that I used to be able to use the dialer and now I can't. I had previously installed Warp V4 over my Red Box V3 and I was able to use the dialer. Now with V4 installed on a clean c: drive with all DOS/Win on a separate C: and boot manager I can't connect. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any problems with DOIP but I can't get In-Joy to work. If you e-mail me the details of what you have tried with warp DOIP I'll see what I can figure out. In my case It was totally painless. What modem do you use? What initiallisation strings did you specify? Does your ISP use PAP? Regards, Lionel at Lismore.

The Rexx programs in my web pages work at iiNet with Warp 4. Try them.
