SYSOP (brian_gold@towernet.net) spoke thusly:
: I am running OS/2 Warp Connect and Lan Server 4.0 with an Adaptec 2842
: controller with 2 Nakamichi 7 disc changers. The problem I have having
: is that with disconnect enabled on the controller the changers will
: randomly start to rotate through the cd's.
: Is there anyone else having the same problem with either OS/2 or Win 95?
Well, mine one MBR-7 (Nak? Mountain? NEC, I forget <g>.) workied fine for the
ten minutes I ran it on DOS6/Win31. I am now using it under NetWare 4.1.
I notice a HELL of a lot of swapping on bus reset (e.g. when the SCSI card
driver loads - in this case it's a Future Domain TMC850, but I also used an
AHA1542C. The Adaptec NetWare drivers don't support multiple LUN's, but I saw
the same behavior.)
Perhaps, therefore, something is crashing and so the drivers are sending out a
bus reset when the unidentified-bad-thing happens?
