While hanging out on Epson America's compuserve forum, I happened across some 
threads regarding Epson Germany producing an Epson Stylus Color printer 
driver that runs under OS/2.  At the point I read the messages, the driver 
was at the beta stage and some were saying it would be done early part of 
1996.  I get generally good results with the regular ESC and the new omni 
driver (level 457).  In some comparisons, I could not tell the difference 
between the omni driver and the epson windows driver.  There was still a 
little difference with complex color images that I printed with colorworks at 
the highest resolution (720 dpi with special paper).  I suspect this may be 
related to tweaking the various diffusion models and color/hue/saturation 
controls in the omni driver.
If anyone knows anything about the ESC driver that Epson Germany is working 
on could you please include some information about it here?
