Netters!

I'm posting for a friend of mine which hasn't got access to internet.

He's been trying to install the OS/2 2.1b from december for about a week
now. When he uses the install disk, he gets the logo and the internal 
revision number is shown. So far so good. But then his screen blanks and 
after  about twenty seconds all activity stops showing the message

SYS3175: A program in this session encountered a problem and
cannot continue.

No fancy box around it, no options to display program or registers. Nope.
Just this message.

Some data on the system:
It is a no-name 386DX40, 8Mb. He uses a standard IDE harddisk. Running
at 8Mhz does the same; barely shadow ram enabled; bus speed cannot be 
changed; wait states addded; only 9-chip SIMMs installed; frustrated
guy at the keyboard; the same disks as i used for my succesfull install.

So: please feel free to e-mail me even the most far fetched
solutions you can imagen, except for replacing the OS by NT ;-)
