This is *NOT* a flame, just a personal observation. This sounds to me like
'Does anyone know how to convert a druid to astrology?'. 'Migrate' here is
like 'port' elsewhere. The assumption is that there are more commonalities
than not. Having worked in/with both systems, my best advice (and it's really
not advice, just an observation) is dump the old and pick up the new (no time
bias should be implied, just 'what I used to use' vs. 'what I use now':).
Trying to 'hang' on to the old methodology (i.e., understand a system new to
the user in terms of the system the user is used to [when they are *far*
separated]) will only aggravate your trials.

That said, here are the tenuous connections:

PROFS: ?

PL/I: ?

REXX: Batch files (*NOT* nearly as powerful)

XEDIT: Only third party. Brief comes about as close as any for approximating
		  a language.

Again, painful as it may seem, understand the underlying algorithm of your
'migrating' applications and don't 'migrate', rewrite them in OS/2 native
languages as applicable. (After all, that's what the writers of OS/2 had to
do in trying to emulate existing IBM archetechtures;^} [ it is questionable
that they succeeded ]).
