Hi chaps,

I've just added a few more chips to my PC.

Here's the output from 4OS2's 'memory' command

   100,249,600 bytes total physical RAM
   663,478,272 bytes total resident RAM

     9,027,584 bytes largest free block

         4,096 bytes total environment
         2,104 bytes free

         4,096 bytes total alias
         3,515 bytes free

         1,024 bytes total history.

The BIOS reports 96Mb..

GammaTech System Information says..

[snip]
Total physical memory: 97 MB
Total resident memory: 8 MB
Total available memory: 646 MB
Maximum bytes of memory in private arena: 165 MB
Maximum bytes of memory in shared arena: 355 MB
[snip]

System Information Tool reports...

What's with the 'Total amount detected' and the last three
stats..?

The plot thickens..

*********** Memory address ranges recognized by this system ***********

System RAM : 00000000 - 0009FFFF (640) Kilobytes
Video RAM : 000A0000 - 000BFFFF (128) Kilobytes
Adapter ROMs : 000C0000 - 000DFFFF (128) Kilobytes
System ROM : 000E0000 - 000FFFFF (128) Kilobytes

Memory address range above 16 Megabytes
System RAM : 01000000 - 12FFFFFF (49,152) Kilobytes
*********** System Information Tool - ***********

What's with the 'Memory address about 16 Mb'

Is something amiss ? Do I bring my box down to 64Mb and buy another
kite with the 'lost' 32Mb..?

Mmmn.. or am I missing something..?

Cheers!
