I bought the Warp w/ WinOS2 CD from indelible blue a couple weeks ago for
$69. I bought the upgrade version, since I'm a legit owner of 2.1, but
have had a bit more hassle than I want to bother with. Actually, mostly
I found a local copy of Warp-Connect for a cheap price, which seems
easier for me than the upgrade. I'd like to sell the barely opened
package for $50, since $69 is AFAIK the best price new for the same item
(which is not very old, and is unused).

The story is that the upgrade version sniffs for a 2.1 installation. I
dl'ed a document from Indelible Blue which had some explanation of how to
get it installed w/o having fully to reinstall 2.1 first, but the info
didn't quite make sense since it involved copying various files from the
CD and installation disks, which weren't in the locations specified. The
jist of it involved getting the syslevel.os2 from 2.1 to your hd, but I
couldn't quite get it to work. A reinstall of 2.1 isn't feasable for me,
since mine is on 5-1/4", while my laptop naturally does not have such a
drive. I'm sure a (long) call to IBM could get it worked out, but I'd
rather just sell the item. Please help me out if you're in the market to
buy this product.

Yours, David Mertz
