HELP: Micrologic under OS2 - emagic.386 not found!!

Hi OS/2 freaks

AMAZING: I got the new mpmm mpu-401 driver(s) and got some synth
librarian and sysex dump programs to work.

Was hoping I could get MicroLogic to work under Win/OS2 BUT it won't
find emagic.386 in the winos2 system directory. I presume WARP just
doesn't support *.386 drivers.

Are there any work arounds or do I still need to use real Windows
under real DOS (which of course I don't want to do!!)
Any suggestions welcome (short of buying more software!)

Thanks
Peter Baker

Hi Peter

You're right, winOS/2 does'nt load any *.386 drivers. Loading them would corrupt
OS/2's protection schema (i.e. OS/2 wants to handle virtual devices iself and
not
by windows or some other "aplication").

Hope this helps

Ulrich

Currently, Win-OS/2 does not support VxD's (.386 files) at all. There are
currently no work arounds unless the Windows application was able to work under
standard mode. If the app (or driver) has a way of working under standard mode
(instead of enhanced 386 mode), then use that method to run it under standard
mode win-os/2.
