Worked for me It looks nice. Unfortunately, it doesn't support any NICs that I use (3Com 3C90x series, Intel EtherExpress w/8255 chip, both industry standard NICs). Fortunately, the drivers supplied by these companies install without having to resort to a third-party installer lookup util. This isn't meant as a put-down to Chuck's util, but you get what you pay for, and the extra $20 I spend on a 3C905 is balanced by knowing that it will install with a minimum of fuss, the driver will be updated when needed, even years after the card is out of production, it can be used with any OS, and has a lifetime warranty that a) I likely won't have to use; b) I won't have to provide a proof-of-purchase five years from now if I do need an RMA; and c) is from a company that will still be answering the phone if/when I need to RMA it. Phjec's SN3200 no-name, made-in-China klone NE2000 card is useless and valueless if it breaks, and every time he has a network problem he'll have to wonder if it's the NIC, the NIC's driver, or something else; this scenario is so common that I gave up using no-name NICs years ago, my time is too valuable to fight unsupported hardware. -- Regards, Al S. * Hillman & Rootes Group manuals online: http://asavage.fdns.net/Hillman * Ford Falcon manuals online: http://FalconFAQ.fdns.net
