Looking for NDIS driver that works with SERIAL PORT

I need remote access from home to my work OS/2 computer. I would like a NDIS driver that works over the serial port. I know Token Technologies makes Remote Vision and there is one called nbr11.zip made by Eighth Generation or something like that. Having NDIS over serial port would allow me to run TCP/IP, NETBIOS, and IPX to my machine at work. Are there any other vendors that make this type of product? -- Wayne Mah wmah@ersys.edmonton.ab.ca

I'm using NBR11I.ZIP (with a couple of fixes). It works great! It is available on hobbes (ftp-os2.nmsu.edu). Check /pub/os2/2.0/network (just a guess). > Having NDIS over serial port would allow me to run TCP/IP, NETBIOS, > and IPX to my machine at work. I run SNA, Banyan Vines, and TCP/IP-in-a-DOS-box. +=================================+=========================================+ | Gene Mangum | OS/2 ver 2 - Increased productivity | | Univ of Michigan Hospitals | through the use of a | | h198@hosp.med.umich.edu | "dead" operating system. | +=================================+=========================================+

1) On a Token Ring bridge, frames were not forwarded if bridge numbers
of *real* bridges in the frame's path were non-zero. We number all
of our TR bridges (IBM 8209s) as bridge #1 (no parallel bridges).
2) I was getting TRAPs on the client. One fix reduced the number of
these, but a new version of NTS/2 LAPS cured the problem. In
retrospect, I'm not sure that the fix to the NASYNC driver would
be necessary. I'm now running the NTS/2 beta from the 11/92 PDK.
Previously, I was running a previous beta I got from our IBM rep.
I suspect the production NTS/2 would work OK, but I can't confirm
it.
