IBM today announced 32 bit database replacement for ES 1.0
called DB2/2.  It start being available on March 26,1993
in a limited availabilty rollout.
Some of the code has seen a 10X speed increase because of tuning and
32 bit performance, as announced on the Field Television Network
Show this morning.
Also included is better DB2 (MVS) compatibility.
