I'm hoping someone can shed some light on the problems I've been having.

My system: generic 386DX 25MHz w/ 8MB RAM, 80MB HD, Diamond Speedstar 24x,
and WD EtherCard Plus Elite 16.

My software: OS/2 v2.1 march beta (6.498), TCP/IP 1.2.1 (Refresh)
(CSD UN37938, March 3, 1993), Netware Requester (install.exe dated 4/15/93).

My problem(s): I can get OS/2 to work with either of the two products but
not both at once. When I have tried both the resulting crash message is:

	Exception in device driver SMC8000$
	Trap 000d
		(etc)
The system detected an internal processing error at location.
	##0160:ff60a3f - 000d:9a3f.
	60000, 9084

	038600d1

This error invariably hits when the startup.cmd is configuring TCP/IP.

I realize that the ethernet card is probably at fault here, but I'm not
quite sure what I'm doing wrong. I've done many things that should have
made a difference -- made sure that both packages are using the WD card
correctly, bound 802.2 as the frame type for NET.CFG, found a later
SMC8000.SYS driver, and others.

Any clues? I guess I'll call Big Blue, too.
