I need to select an educational conference to go to this year and
would appreciate any advice you may have.  I attended ColoradOS/2 the
last two years, and am considering attending something different this
year.  It doesn't necessarily have to be a conference; it could be a
one week training course.  Here are some possible subjects I'd be
interested in:

OOD/OOP/C++: I'd like to learn more about designing and developing
software in a more object oriented way - I've been using C++ for
several years but some OO designs I've seen have struck me as unusual
and confusing.  I'm assuming that in the majority of cases this is
because I am uneducated in the OO paradigm.  I'd like to learn more
about commonly accepted OO models, methods, and implementations such
as the new "standard" class libraries.  [I attended C++ In Action a
three years ago and felt that it was very helpful, but I don't think
it exists anymore.]

GUI (OS/2 PM) Programming: Another possible focus for a conference or
training course would be GUI programming.  I've been doing C for many
years and C++ for a few, so I'm comfortable with programming, but I
never thoroughly learned GUI programming.  Any courses I would take
should probably be OS/2 PM because that's what I'd actually be doing.

OS/2 Inside Out: I've learned a lot about OS/2 internals doing
software development in C++.  However, I have not truly mastered OS/2
from the user's perspective.  I'd like to learn more about the
Workplace Shell, drag and drop, file associations, and how these
features are commonly used in applications.  Perhaps it would be a
training course for OS/2 certification.

Any ideas?  Thanks very much for any advice on this.
