Need advice for simple C++ windowing (PM or VIO/FS)

I will be writing some small programs to test TCP/IP sockets, and would like to have several threads running simultaneously, each writing to their own window or section of the screen. I would like each window to scroll so that the screen doesn't get messy. The compiler being used is IBM's C/Set++. I have the freedom to make these test programs PM or VIO/Full Screen. Can anyone suggest a simple method of neat and clean text output? All I really need is a library that will divide the screen into several pieces; I don't even need borders or title bars, etc., although they would be nice. First I thought of using ANSI escape sequences to do cursor positioning, etc. in a VIO or full screen window. Then I realized I'd have to manage the scrolling and clipping myself, and I figured there might be an easier way. Then I thought of using PM windows. This in fact might be the best way. I'd like to get comfortable with them anyway. But how does one do scrolling within a PM window? I don't want to use up a lot of memory making list boxes that save every line of output. Do you recommend the UICL? Or just build a screen with the interactive tool and use regular PM C functions? I'm quite comfortable with C++ but haven't yet used UICL. By the way, any suggestions on the best way to learn it? Thanks for any help. - Keith -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Bennett Bennett Business Solutions, Inc. There are three different groups on line where this might be much more
fruitfully posted.

comp.os.os2.programmer.tools
comp.os.os2.programmer.misc
They'd be much more likely to have the answers you are seeking,
