I would like to direct input/output of the LPT port bits (in Gnu C).
I looked in the OS/2 1.3 online programmer's ref. and I can't see anything
about this. (like through DosDevIOCtl)
Any ideas or pointers? I would rather not write a device driver, and I
would like to be able to temporarily suspend normal OS/2 spooling and
LPT activity, while I do IO through the parallel port. Can I lock it
out?
Another thing: normal printer ports have only 5 input bits, but I heard that
some newer printer port hardware have more inputs. Anyone know: the port
address, offset and bit where these other ports live? And what physical
pin do they live at?
thanks
