I suspect that's the problem, that there might be some timing
sensitive code somewhere in the ABIOS.  Ordinarily that wouldn't be a
problem, but OS/2 does use the ABIOS.

However, there is some sort of Cyrix utility for OS/2, available now
via anonymous ftp from ftp-os2.nmsu.edu (check the list
/pub/os2/00Index for location).  I haven't looked at it at all, but
perhaps it will help you.
