I was wondering if there exists a PD or shareware C++
Application Framework for OS/2 (before I take the plunge
and write my own, which could take upwards a month or two.)

If not, I'll write one (using GNU C/2 - the one w/o emx,
since that's what I have.) Would there be any interest in such
a beastie? (Free to beta testers, only $5 registration fee -
don't want to get rich off it, just make some money for food.)

An intial version, at a guess since I haven't thought it through,
would allow the creation of windows and controls, an overlay of
the GPI layer so you wouldn't have to redraw the screen yourself
on every repaint message, and modal and modeless dialog box support.
`

Mostly I'm basing my ideas on a similair one I did for MS Windows
(and subsequently lost to a hard disk crash and stupidly not
backing up) and a very good book for those interested -
_Windows++_ by Paul DiLascia. He opened my eyes to quite a
few concepts ..

Thanks for any replies
John Storey

I don't claim to speak for CADAM, much less IBM. And they
definetly have not authorized me to do so.
