GNU Make 3.6.2 - Why must I press two keys for each target?

I am using GNU Make from gnumk362.zip, and when I do a make, it pauses
after making each target, and doesn't continue until I give it two keypresses!
Why is it so?

I had the same problem. I downloaded NMAKE2.ZIP from hobbes (ftp-os2)
and it worked just fine...

Yet another "me too": same problem, same solution. I'm using the OS/2
