Actually, I had no problems with the 2.01 I installed.

In contrast, 2.02 frequently hung up in the middle of a document download, and
I had to close Netscape.

This occurred so much that I have backed out, back to 2.01.

They must have done something new that floods WINSOCK.DLL (yes, I have the
latest version and all of the requisite TCP/IP fixes).

I have heard, however, that using Trumpet WINSOCK for the WIN-OS/2 TCP
applications (specifically Netscape) makes this symptom go away.  Of course
using this would get in the way of my OS/2 apps, so I'm not inclined to go this
route (since I really don't spend much time in Netscape).

For the moment, then, I'm still using IBM's WINSOCK.DLL and Netscape 2.01, with
no problems whatsoever.
