I'm trying to install Warp Connect using an Adaptec/Trantor APA 358 parallel to SCSI adapter and a NEC Multispin 3x external CD-ROM. I seem to have the installation disk configured correctly with T358SCSI.ADD present and with a BASEDEV=T358SCSI.ADD in the config.sys. However, it still doesn't seem to see the CD. It keeps asking for me to insert the proper CD. I tried F3'ing out to a command prompt, and doing a DIR F: (E is my last hard drive). I get the response: SYS0026: The specified disk or diskette cannot be accessed. The LCD On the CD drive indicates that while the DIR is in progress, the drive is being accessed. I tried another CD in the drive and it was also unreadable. I tried the Warp Connect in another machine's CD drive and it was readable. So it's not the Warp compact disk itself, but the drive, adapter, software, or combination thereof. The machine in question is a Dell Optiplex 466. I don't think its parallel port is enhanced, but I believe the APA 358 is supposed to step down to normal parallel port support if necessary. Any ideas to get this to work? Thanks for any help. -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Keith Bennett Bennett Business Solutions, Inc.
