I've just bought a new Seagate IDE ST3660A drive and tried to replace my existing second harddrive with it. It installed, and formatted under DOS fine to 545MB (>1024 cylinders) by the use of the utilties provided with the drive. However, when I boot to OS/2 it doesn't recognise it. Is there something special I need to do when switching hard drives ? Could the fact that the drive has more than 1024 cylinders be causing a problem ? When I say that it doesn't recognise it, I mean that FDISK shows both physical drives, but doesn't recognise the partition as having been formatted (shows as TYPE 57), whilst under DOS I can happily access it. I've spent an entirely frustrating evening connecting to the SEAGATE BBS and the IBM BBS and finding absolutely nothing. I've also tried the Seagate WWW page, and the Warp Pharmacy. Can anyone suggest anything ? Alex Chapman <alex@mercer.demon.co.uk> <URL:http://metro.turnpike.net/mercer> (homepage with os/2 info)
