Hi, Friend.
When OS/2 fail with AHA 2940, use your Utilities disks to boot.
Then edit the config.sys, add these switches on the line:
BASEDEV=AHA7870.ADD /!ET /V /A:0 /I /DM:0 /SM:0 /UR
